Background: On my way back from a business trip in the Eastern United States, I spied a six pack of this famous American beer in a convenience store. I have heard of this beer’s reputation for years. It is hailed as an American tradition! It was time to buy some to try back home.

Taste & Aroma: There’s not much to smell here. My nose detected a faint, skunky aroma. That was it from the bottle. After I poured the beer into the glass, all I smelled was malt. The taste is where this beer shines actually. It has a sharp bite with a citrus zing followed by a mild, malty finish that will slake any thirst for a good lager.

Final Analysis: I would love to try this beer on draught. I doubt this will ever happen soon though. From the bottle Yuengling is a delicious, yet simple lager worthy of the mantle it bears: a traditional lager.
