Background: I am continuing my penchant for pilsners. Goose Island’s 4 Star Pils is a superb example of how a true American Pilsner should taste. It is no Urquell, but it is a great Pilsner.

Taste & Aroma: The nose here is a simple, yet straightforward wet grain. The flavor is where this beer shines. Biscuity malts, with a spicy hop middle and a peppery finish is another jewel in the crown of this beer. Solid pilsner here.

Final Analysis: This is a good pilsner. Urquell is best, but this is a fine Pilsner here. Another great job done by ABInBev and the breweries it owns.
