Carlsberg, An exceptional Danish lager reviewed by Brandon C. Hovey

Beer: Carlsberg

Brewery: Carlsberg

Beer Style: Pale Lager

Abv: 5%

Country of Origin: Denmark

Serving methodology: 11.2 oz bottle poured into dimple pint glass

Background: I just mowed my lawn and figured it was time for a delicious lager. Carlsberg is that lager.

Taste & Aroma: Cereal is the opener on the nose followed by a little wet grain. A tad bit of skunk is present too. Lackluster aroma does not always mean a beer is going to be bad though. The flavor is incredible though. Biscuity malts great you with a sweet cereal middle. A bite is present at the end that keeps this beer crisp and refreshing.

Final Analysis: I want to try this beer on draught. From the bottle and can it is delicious. Yet, from the tap is probably where it shines the most. Most lagers do shine when served from a tap.
