Bell’s Oberon: A Summer Specialty of Bell’s Brewing

Beer: Oberon

Beer Style: Hefeweizen

Abv: 5.8%

Serving Methodology: 12 oz bottle poured into weizen glass

Country of Origin: United States of America

Brewery: Bell’s

Background: Bell’s Oberon is one of my all time favorite beers. When it comes to Hefeweizens Oberon is one to fulfill that craving. I first had Bell’s Oberon on draught at Naperville, IL’s Heaven On Seven location. It was a delicious treat. I was twenty-one, and five years later I am enjoying it still.

Taste & Aroma: The aroma is of soft and fluffy malt here with a twinge of bubblegum. The flavor is the true star here though. Banana, malt, and a spicy hop bite give this beer a unique taste that makes it distinctive from it’s European cousins from Bavaria, like Erdinger.

Pending Analysis: This is an excellent Hefeweizen. I’ll do another post of it regarding it’s flavors on draught when I am able too!
