Pony Pilsner by Half Acre Brewing Company Reviewed by Brandon C. Hovey

Beer: Pony Pilsner

Beer Style: Pilsner

Brewery: Half Acre Brewing Company

Abv: 5.80%

Serving Methodology: Pint can poured into pint glass

Country of Origin: United States of America

Background: Pilsners alongside pale ales, porters/stouts, and IPAs are some of my favorite beer styles. A good pilsner is a great treat.

Taste & Aroma: Amanda says it reminds her of Fruity Pebbles. I agree to an extent. This is a new interpretation of a classic style. A wet biscuity aroma followed by some citrus is present in the nose. Think cracker barrel biscuits plus lemonade. The taste is where this beer shines. Lemons, malt, and biscuits are in the nose followed by a hop zing. Not a bite, like classic pilsners.

Final Analysis:  This is an American Pilsner more than a German or Czech one. I strongly encourage you to try this.
