Amanda made another fabulous meat pie. Some with Oscar Mayer Turkey, another with Oscar Mayer Ham. This one had a delightful Mediterranean feel with tomatoes and pesto.
ORIGINAL RECIPE:
- Bacon Smoked Gouda
- Maple Bacon
- Pesto
- Oscar Mayer Deli Meats: Turkey and Ham to fill separate pockets
- Fresh Tomato, Campari
- Pilsbury Crescent Dough
Cook Time: Sixteen minutes
This was an excellent example of how a meat pie can be delicious. The pesto and tomato provide a lot of moisture to the deli meat. The Oscar Mayer quality meats were bolstered by the smoked Gouda and the crispy bacon for texture. This was a sandwich enhanced and it was now clothed in the Pillsbury dough to be a pocket.
I enjoyed the ham pocket. I will have the turkey pocket tomorrow. I hope you had an equally good dinner.
