Chocolate Cherry Scones From The Barista Baking Company

Amanda picked these up from Wal-Mart and baked them. I did not use the vanilla icing, I just ate the scones plain. Honestly, I don’t think it was needed. If you love chocolate as much as I do, you don’t need it. These are noir delights and their darkness is a funnel for the light they bring to your taste buds. This is chocolate, after all.

The flavor here is of earthy dark chocolate, and the bready texture from the scone gives this earthiness a good multiplier. The tart cherries are a counterpoint to the earthiness that gives this a backbeat. All in all, this was a simple, easy to make, and delicious treat. I am looking forward to trying more of their flavors. Perhaps this is in your local Wal-Mart.
