The recipe we used was discovered via Pinterest. I’m something of a latecomer to pinterest. However, I can attest that Pinterest is a magnificient catalog of ideas on almost any subject, and I’m pleased to say I’m becoming an adept user. I’m a fan of seeking out new recipes on there, and this one is a savory treat.
We obtained a chuck roast from our local grocers and threw it into the crock pot. We used pepper, garlic, onions, and poured in some french onion soup to act as another flavoring agent to this gorgeous roast beef. In the interest of time I’ll cut to the chase and tell you how brilliant this was. This was a great Valentine’s Day meal for two, and the beautiful thing is that there are still leftovers.
The French rolls that served as a bun were warm and inviting, the melted provolone and horseradish infused cheeses and the savory seasoned beef that was oh so tender was a truly delicious meal that I can say was beyond restaurant quality for an incredibly low price. The au jus was delicious as well. Go to pinterest now and see what recipes you can find for yourself.
I recently discovered Pinterest, and so far it’s been an interesting experience. Of course, there was a slight learning curve at the beginning, but I managed to pull through. I look forward to seeing what it can really do.
Oh, and by the way, my friend is an aspiring chef, so I’ll share your recommendation with him.
