My Father-in-law came into town today and surprised us with an excellent breakfast. A omelette with spinach, sharp cheddar cheese, Canadian bacon, avocado oil, and eggs of course. Hash browns, a biscuit, and biscuits with sausage gravy! The sausage in the gravy was Purnell’s Old Folks Country Sausage which is not too mild like other sausages that one can find in biscuits and gravy.

This was a breakfast that was above restaurant quality.  The biscuits were soft and the sausage had a pleasant zing and they did well in the milky gravy. The omelette was lush, moist and filling. The hash browns were crispy, starchy, and bold in their flavors. All in all, this was a brilliant breakfast and I’m glad he treated us to this.
