Beer: All Day IPA
Beer Style: Session IPA
Abv: 4.70%
Brewery: Founders
Country of Origin: United States of America
Serving Method: Bottle poured into dimple pint
Background: Here’s another beer by Founders that I have not had until now. They forgave me for having the Centennial IPA late, hopefully they’ll do the same for this one.
Taste & Aroma: The piney and bright nose is sticky smelling and it greets the drinker like many IPAs do There’s a tinge of citrus. The flavors are full despite not being brewed as high gravity as IPAs more typical to the parameters of the beer style. This beer unlike many IPAs is bright, malty, and biscuity. There is a lingering watery finish.
Final Analysis: This definitely is inspired from light beer but it is certainly an IPA with its minimal wateriness. A Session IPA is a Light IPA. Unlike a Light Lager though it seems to be protected from the horrendous overall wateriness that decreases enjoyment.
