Background: It is celebration day! I just finished my manuscript’s editing. The word file will soon be a galley proof. The book will likely be out in July. Now for celebration I’m going to have a beer that is in essece a true culinary experience. It is a smoked beer! This is going to be brilliant!
Taste & Aroma: This beer has the aroma of the best barbecue I have ever had. It reminds me of the smoked beef brisket he cooks. You’ll enjoy letting the aroma of the beechwood tease you into imbibing this exceptional beer that transcends both the Marzen and the Rauchbier styles.
The flavor of course in any beer should be the star, and this is truly a magnificent example of how a beer should be. A beechwood start, followed by the malt expected in a Marzen, and then some spicy bready undertones follow. The finish is a lingering scotch-like peat that will have you wanting another sip and some pulled pork barbecue with pancakes.
Final Analysis: This is an excellent beer well worthwhile consuming. Have it with a good brisket, smoked salmon, lox, smoked turkey, the possibilities are endless with this excellent German beer.
