Triglycerides

I went to the hospital to get my blood drawn

I fainted with the needle in my arm

Worries infiltrated me

Anxiety betrayed me

Reality informed me of high triglycerides

I am getting older

My hair is Salt and Sand in places

My knees don’t carry me as well as they used too

My stomach acid refluxes at times.

I’m going to have to watch my triglycerides

These little lipids unfortunately have screamed

They’ll find they’ll not have a voice with me

They shall be supressed.

I will define their reality.
