Background: I’m on a tour of the beers of New Belgium Beers. Frankly, I can say that Voodoo Ranger IPA was excellent. However, now we are on its big brother the Imperial IPA. Let’s see how it does.
Taste & Aroma: Pine, resin, and a hint of hay are in the nose. The flavor notes are as follows: Pine, malty crackers, and lastly a lingering hoppy finish that leaves a good bite.
Final Analysis: This is an all right beer. Not my favorite, and certainly not one I’d rush too. New Belgium’s other offerings are far better.
