Beer: Celebration Fresh Hop IPA
Brewery: Sierra Nevada (California and North Carolina)
Abv: 6.8%
Beer Style: India Pale Ale
Serving Method: Bottle poured into shaker pint
Country of Origin: United States of America
Background: I adore Sierra Nevada’s excellent portfolio of beers. One of their greatest beers is the Celebration IPA. I reviewed this beer last year and I can say that Celebration is a worthy tradition of Sierra Nevada stemming from 1981, their second year in business. This is a bold, full body ale with a generous spirit that is perfect for the holidays.
Be thinking of the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company this holiday season as they are significantly affected by the wildfires during this time. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this miserable time. Like their brews, the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company is showing a generous spirit.
Taste & Aroma: A biscuity aroma is present along with the presence of fresh hay. The flavor though is the star of this beer. A malty start, spicy middle, and dry hop finish make this beer a favorite of mine. While this is a seasonal beer I could drink it year-round.
Final Analysis: This is one of my favorite beers. This is a quality beer with a lot of character in terms of flavor and aroma. Its generosity in flavors and aroma remind me of the generous spirit Sierra Nevada has for its friends and neighbors in spite of the wildfires around their vicinity.
