Background: This beer was named after a legendary samurai. Hattori Hanzo served the first Tokugawa Shogun: Ieyasu with distinction. I think he would have liked this beer as it has bold character while being mellow. Let’s check it out.

Taste And Aroma: I smell lemons and the kind of scent you get when you enter the outdoors on a spring day with rushing water by you. This beer has a fresh aroma. The flavor is unique. This is a more herbal example of a pale ale. Tartness is present as there is a dill and lemony presence followed by a spicy hop character that reminds me of Pilsner Urquell.

Final Analysis: This is a beer well worth your time. I recommend this without reservation. Pick it up.
