Beer: Northwoods Lager
Brewery: Lenienkugel’s
Beer Style: Pale Lager
Abv: 4.90%
Country of Origin: United States of America
Serving Method: Bottle poured into shaker pint
Background: Lenie’s is a brewery that is owned by MillerCoors. However, they still make a great quality beer. Now, those of you that read this blog know that I have nothing against macro-brewed beers. I enjoy domestic macros and American Craft. Lenie’s really defies either category. They do their own thing. Check out these other beers by them: their original and theBavarian Dunkel are excellent.
Taste & Aroma: I smell wet grain and a little bit of mown grass. The flavor is of sharp cereals, toasted malt, and a spicy yet mellow finish.
Final Analysis: This is not a remarkable beer. But it is a quality beer to serve when you are at a social gathering. I’d like to try it on tap, but there are more interesting beers to have on tap.
