Bonfire Season

My wife and I have been enjoying bonfires in our back yard as of late. We’ll roast hot dogs, preferably Boar’s Head sausages though. And cook smores. Although my smores are gluten free. 🙂

It is quite pleasant to enjoy the bonfire and watch old papers and logs burn. In the alchemical fires they turn into ash and charcoal. The brown fades to the shiny black stones. She’ll have a glass of white wine. I’ll have bourbon or cognac. It is a great time.

It is a pleasant respite in a season of quarantine  to light up the fire pit.
